Saturday, 16 May, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
For individuals and agencies who want to be part of a movement to bring about the necessary change to address child sexual abuse in the UK.
Sexual Abuse Must Stop
This third meeting will discuss the plans for the Awareness Concert scheduled for 25th July and the promotion and launch of the “One in a million” petition to mobilise the public.
We are all aware that there are many individuals and organisations, large and small, who are working in the field of sexual abuse – yet the scale and effects across the UK are as bad as they have ever been, and there is no comprehensive plan to stop it. The only way to bring about the change needed is if everyone comes together to agree a strategy that will mobilise the public to demand an end to sexual abuse.
At Transformation we have consistently seen girls and women, boys and men, from all walks of life that have been abused, not believed, dismissed by the police, and left to get on with their broken lives.
Many small whispers – like the whisper of a child being abused – can be ignored. A large roar from a stadium of people is what we become as we stand united in one voice.
Abusers must no longer feel safe with their actions
Children must know they will be believed.
The event is free and hosted by Transformation Powerhouse at 33 Vicarage Lane, East Ham, London, E6 6DQ
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. On tube and bus network, and on-street free parking
